The managing director of Iran Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Management Co. (Tavanir) said voltage level drills, construction of substations in areas with high levels of consumption and widespread application of energy-efficient lamps are among important measures taken so far this year to manage the consumption of some 2,000 MW of electricity.
Homayoon Hayeri further said a specialized course of action has been worked out to manage electricity consumption as measures are taken to promote the culture of conservation and educate the public.
He concluded that Malayer 200 kV substation is to be inaugurated shortly.
