A technical joint committee investigates Iran and Qatar electrical grid connection

Iranian Energy minister, Parviz Fattah, and Qatari energy minister agreed on establishing a technical committee for analyzing the technical aspects of electrical grid connection between Iran and Qatar within 6 mounts.
 
 
 
Iranian Energy minister, Parviz Fattah, and Qatari energy minister agreed on establishing a technical committee for analyzing the technical aspects of electrical grid connection between Iran and Qatar within 6 mounts.

According to Ministry of Energy of Iran, , Mr. Fattah, in the meeting with his visiting Qatari Energy Minister, referred to country's electrical connection to its all land border neighbors and said The electrical grid of Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Armenia are currently connected.;


Parviz Fattah pointed that the electrical connection between Iran, Russia, Syria, and Emirate is on the way.

'There is an annual-add of 5000MW of electricity to the country's capacity' he said.


Iranian Energy Minister pointed to Iran 's exploitation of renewable and nuclear energies and said; the construction of Solar and Wind power plants have been localized and we hope to have Boshehr Nuclear power plant entered to the cycle at the end of the year.

Fattah also stressed on joint investment of the two countries in the arena of dam-building and added Qatar due to its vast development is in need of water and this is while joint investment in water will benefit the two countries.

Abdullah, Ben Hammed Al Atiee, Qatari energy minister, emphasized on his country's readiness for boosting up the relationships between Iran and Qatar and added; Electricity generation in Qatar is 4000MW which is all produced by private sectors, while the governmental sector is active in transmission and distribution. Ministry of Energy reports.


Qatari energy minister also announced the electrical grid connection of the Persian Golf Cooperation Council Countries till next year and noted; the idea of electrical connection between Iran and Persian Gulf countries electrical grid is a great idea .
