Iran to export power to Turkey thorough Nakhjavan
 
Iranian energy minister Parviz Fattah agreed to deliver power to Turkey through Nakhjavan as meeting with Turkish foreign trade minister Kurshad Tuzmen ISNA reports.
 
 
 
Iranian energy minister Parviz Fattah agreed to deliver power to Turkey through Nakhjavan as meeting with Turkish foreign trade minister Kurshad Tuzmen ISNA reports.
Fattah also encouraged Turkey businessmen to make investments on building thermal and hydropower plants in Iran and said Iran can play a key role in providing Turkey with energy, a country which possess a great amount of gas and energy in the world.
The two sides managed to increase the volume of business exchanges by 2 billion dollars from 2007 to 2008 now reaching to 10 billion dollars.
The two sides are expected to raise this amount by 20 billion dollars by 2011.
Iran ready to work with Turkey on different fields invites Turkish private sector to cooperate on joint project with Iran, Iranian minister said.
Kurshad Tuzmen for his part said Turkey hopes to boost trade transactions with Iran over 8 billion dollars.
Meanwhile concerning power received by Turkey through Turkmenistan, the Turkish official expressed hope the agreement based on which Ankara purchases Tehran’s 1.5 billion kilowatts electricity per hour would be finalized soon.
