During the meeting with by Azerbaijan's Minister of Industry and Energy ,Natik Aliyev, Iranian Energy Minister noted that Iran and Azerbaijan adhere to the same position in the issue of energy cooperation, Azerbaijani news site Today reports.

  Both sides coordinated issues of creating a work group on the level of deputy ministers, transit of electric power from Azerbaijan to Turkey via Iran, opening of an energy corridor between Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia, mutual investments of Azerbaijan and Iran in the energy sector.


  Iranian Energy Minister also called for expediting the construction of Ordoobad power plant over Aras river , boosting up the level of research and educational cooperation between the two states experts in the field of power and water .


  Fattah also had meeting with president of Azerbaijan, Elham Aliyef, where political, ,economical and cultural ties between the neighbors were discussed

  Both countries' senior officials voiced their will to significantly increase the level of bilateral ties.

  The Iranian delegation are scheduled to visit a number of Azerbaijani electric stations.
