Renewable Energy Organization of Iran (SUNA) is responsible for policy making and directing renewable energy in Iran. In this respect many different renewable projects are ran by this organization. SUNA for promoting Biomass projects in Iran performs many different activities. Some of these activities are:

Feasibility Study of Biomass for recognition of domestic biomass resources potential for producing energy
This activity is done by two international companies (BTG Co. and Fichtner Co.) which started from 2006 and will finish 2009. The results of these projects will be Iran Biomass Atlas.

Workshops on using Biomass for producing Energy
Specialists of Biomass Department started many different workshops and seminars for specialists in different parts of industry for promoting Biomass. In these workshops and seminars requirements of using biomass and the advantages of this renewable energy are taught to these specialists.
