- The European Commission said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkmenistan to strengthen cooperation in the energy field.
The commission said the memorandum bolsters bilateral cooperation in the areas of investment, production, energy technology, energy efficiency, renewables, as well as the transport and trade of energy products.

The European Union and Turkmenistan agreed in April to step up energy cooperation.
