Managing Director of Mapna Group Abbas Aliabadi said his company will shortly sign a deal with the Chinese firms to supply equipment for the Tabas Power Plant which runs on coal.
He said the facility will have two 325 MW gas- and coal-powered units which will become operational within five years.
Aliabadi further said Mapna will manufacture the turbines and boilers of the facility. “The project is part of the Energy Ministry’s efforts to diversify the country’s energy basket.”
