Ahvaz to Host First Expo on Potential for Water and Electricity Exports to Iraq | 3 Oct 2011 16:14  | |
An exhibition showcasing the potential of the water and electricity industry for exports of technical and engineering services as well as equipment to Iraq is to be held in Ahvaz later this year. | |

The event to be organized on ground 3,000 square meters in area will also feature specialized gatherings to be attended by both Iranian and Iraqi experts and officials. The move is designed to give Iraqi official firsthand knowledge about the capabilities of Iranian firms and pave the way for conclusion of deals between the two sides.
Proximity to four southern Iraqi provinces namely Al-Basra, Maysan, Nasiriyah and Diwaniyah, cross-border ties and easy overland transport are some of the reasons why Khuzestan has been chosen to host the expo.
