Iran Third In World In Power Network Growth

The installed power plant capacity of Iran now is 63571 mw which the capacity covers over 26300000 subscribers across the country.


Iran stands 3rd in the world when it comes to the Power network growth ,Behzad, Deputy Energy Minister said attending in a provincial managers meeting yesterday on Saturday ,MOE reports.

He said that in term of installed capacity of electrical energy Iran sits first in the region and among 200 countries of the globe is ranked 15.
The installed power plant capacity of Iran now is 63571 mw which the capacity covers over 26300000 subscribers across the country ,Behzad added.

The energy loss in the transmission lines dipped to less than 15 per cent, he continued.

Behzad said last year 6.7 billion kilowatt/hours was exported ,adding the amount of power export to the neighboring states has so far increased to 27 per cent thanks to the implementation of targeted subsidies law in Iran.

The official concluded by emphasizing on the application of renewable energy , distributed generators(DG) ,and combined heat and power (CHP) in Iran to be taken more seriously.
