The Managing Director of Iran Water and Power Development Company said that 46 percent of the hydroelectric energy in the country has generated by the power plants constructed by the company.

Seyed Reza zadeh ,The IWPD Chief ,continued the amount of electricity produced by Karkhe Masjid Soleiman , Karun 3 , Koohrang , Shahid Rajaee , and Lavarak stands at 1477610 mw from march 22 to 22 July 2010 which the share of
6 IWPD-constructed power plants among the total number of hydroelectric power plants in country (22) is 45.72percent.

"The company now is constructing 5 other power plants of Karun 4 Gutvand , Siah Bishe , Seymareh and Roodbar" He concluded.
